5 out of 5 starsSuper cute pattern, easy to follow instructions. I made two bags, one for my sister. I love how professional this bag looks, and that's all thanks to this amazing pattern. The standard size is the perfect size for a school bag. I added a laptop sleeve in both of my bags, lined with fleece interfacing. I used cotton canvas as the outer fabric and it is super sturdy. On my second bag, instead of two shoulder straps, I did one long adjustable strap for it to be worn either cross-body or on the shoulder. Well written instructions with photos, and the youtube videos helped me with more unclear parts. Great pattern, and I'll definitely make a third bag! I bought the apex pouch pattern a year ago and only just now got around to making a pouch from it! It was such a delight to make, and I am so in love with the bag I made, that I went and bought the new big APEX tote pattern, so that I can have a giant APEX tote in which I can stuff a multitude of APEX pouches! The pattern is so well made; easy to understand and follow and the schematics are beautiful. The included pattern-hacks are inspiring. The process of making the pouch was fun as well, and thanks to the great instructions and precise pattern pieces, my seams match and my points are sharp! 10/10 definitely recommend.

What a unique design! My son’s girlfriend was planning on spending an enormous amount to purchase a brand name tote that caters to nurses. It was nothing more than a monstrous beach bag. I made her the Apex in colors of her choice - black with a cheetah print lining. I put in the zipper to fully close, but also the little snapped loop if she wanted to pull in the sides for a slimmer version. I added an elasticized, divided pocket inside because she wanted a spot for her water bottle or coffee. She “loves loves loves” it and every detail about this marvelous bag. Now her coworkers want their own, too. The pattern was perfect, measurements precise when sewing together, and instructions were easy to understand and navigate. I’ll definitely be making the Apex bag again!
