Sadly, Alzheimer's disease gradually takes these memories.

As loved ones’ age, it becomes increasingly important that they live in the present, in a way that preserves the essence of who they are. Providing elders with comfort, warmth and activity improves quality of life and helps them to relax and enjoy treasured memories of a life lived to the fullest.

This lightweight 24” lap blanket is warm and comforting backed with Kelly green fleece material. The colours are reminiscent of Ireland, 40 shades of green! Included are 4 old Irish Blessings or sayings. These were commonly heard in the rural parts of Ireland not too many years ago and may bring back memories and stories to some. In those days, before the advent of TV, evenings used to be spent gathered in the 'visiting' house telling tales of long ago and relating news. Some fidget items are incorporated to aid restless hands.

These memory support blankets can be personalized using your own photos of people, places or pets and will take approx 1 week to make up.
