This bracelets reads 'Anam Cara' in Ogham, which is the Irish word for Soul Friend.

Hand-made in our workshop in Dingle, Co. Kerry, Ireland using 3/8" vegetable tanned leather.

Ogham inscription hand-pressed into the leather and painted using waterproof acrylic leather paint.

Tie lace allows some adjustment of size.

Comes with a display card with an explanation of Ogham and a translation of the bracelet itself.

Ogham (pronounced Oh-um) is an ancient alphabet used primarily by the Celts in Ireland between the 4th and 9th Centuries, in which the characters of the alphabet are represented by sequences of parallel strokes, read from bottom to top. Examples of this writing still exist on standing stones and markers throughout Ireland, and are found with particular frequency on the Dingle Peninsula.
