I have to admit, I'd never heard of the SCP Foundation. But that's how they want it....

When I'm working every day I have YouTube open on my Mac and I watch/listen to videos while I'm doing whatever I'm doing. I kept seeing suggested videos concerning 'SCP-(random number)', and eventually I got curious as to what the hell they were talking about. So I decided to look into it, and I'm quite glad that I did.

The SCP Foundation is a fictional (or is it...?) organisation tasked with containing and studying various supernatural/alien/weird objects, entities or phenomena. The whole thing is one massive creative writing effort, and there are some stunningly talented writers all contributing to the ever-growing body of work which comprises the SCP wiki. All entries are told in the style of a report into an individual case, identified with a unique number (such as SCP-2181 etc) and detail the physical manifestation, special containment procedures, experimental results and so forth. I very much recommend looking into it if you're into sci-fi, horror, mystery or creative writing in general, it's amazing stuff. This coaster bears the logo of the SCP Foundation, so you too can park your researcher's pint while studying the latest brain-melting worm from Hell.

There is no anti-slip coating on the back of this coaster; applying one would mean that it would be less able to be used for other purposes, so to give you more of a range of options the back of the coaster remains bare (except for our sticker). If you need an anti-slip option you can order a set of rubber feet separately in the store and they will be shipped with your order. The rubber feet are available in a pack of four (for one coaster) or a pack of 16 (for a pack of 4). If you need larger or smaller numbers of rubber feet please let us know.

This design can be fitted with a laser-engraved plaque on the reverse side with either a short message (ie. 'To Bob, love always from Sylvia) or with a logo of your choice. The maximum engravable area is 43mm x 43mm. Message must be around 50 characters at maximum, but this is flexible (please message to discuss if you need a longer message).
