WEAVERS OF SPEECH is named after a print put out by AT&T in 1915 depicting the far reaching effects of the use of the Telephone. The picture depicts a Telephone Operator sitting on a telephone stool with a picture of telephone poles and lines to her right and on her left 3 scenes depicting The City, The Country and Industry. Interwoven through her fingers the telephone lines that reach out to all three areas. This portrays the importance of Communication in people's lives.
