Welcomes you to our Custom Made Natural Character Live Edge Shelf Store. Hand Crafted Bespoke Shelves, bathroom vanity floating sink shelving, fireplace mantels-surrounds, character beams, rustic waney edge tables, benches etc - furniture for your home-office, unique never the same. We work with character distressed wood, Yew, Oak, Walnut, Acacia, Olive Ash, Sweet Chestnut and so on, timbers not widely used by cabinet makers, joiners, timber overlooked due to its gnarly form that is unsuitable for refined works.

We source these interesting timbers within the UK primarily from windblown-end of life trees direct from, farmers, estates, tree surgeons, sawmills when available. Kiln drying is undertaken by our local timber miller to reduce moisture content after a period of air drying. Artful Shelves bespoke natural character products are not perfect in dimension but perfect in natural form as nature intended, we merely bring out what is already within and create a functional product for your home, office etc.
Each product is unique, We source timber with the most interesting characteristics and often add our own style. Please note that wood moves as its moisture content changes. Wood continually adapts to its surrounding environment so slight movement can occur.
