Thank you for visiting my shop and I hope you like what you see. . I love to sew and to make things for others. I first was inspired by my mother and grandmother who made my clothes as a child and were constantly knitting and sewing. I got into needlework in school and had a great teacher who was very encouraging. I bought my first machine when I was 15 from a catalogue paying a couple of pounds each week till I paid it off.
I still have this machine !! I'm not one to throw things away.! Always one for charity shops and car boot sales, loving old things with their own history and tale to tell. I aim to make things that people want to keep, hand down, treasure and appreciate the care that went into the making of each item. I aim to be increasingly sustainable and to avoid waste in precious resources. I love making sustainable menstrual pads as I know these will be definitely and directly decrease waste to landfill. I hope to expand and improve on my practices in the future and source more sustainable products and fabrics.
I work as a nurse in Mental health so crafting is how I spend my down time. Although my job is rewarding and very worthwhile my passion is in craft, in textiles and beautiful prints and patterns. By supporting my shop you are helping me to devote more time to this work I love doing. Thank you 😊💝

I love hand made things, the sense of love, care and attention which goes into the work. I hope to impart those same qualities in the things that I make ,and to give some joy in this way to others.
