I was lucky enough to be able to purchase this beautiful repurposed Vintage Case directly from its maker/seller at the Smithfield Christmas Market as a present. Prior to wrapping it I did have a sneaky listen to confirm that the sound quality is great. All in all it looks brilliant, is sturdy, portable, beautifully finished and incredibly unique.

The story of BoscaBosca

BoscaBosca was born in January 2012 in Dublin, out of a desire to have a Wi-Fi internet radio. The result was a frankenstein creation made from recycled smartphones, electronic components and a winebox. It is still much in use.
The past 2 years has seen over 100 devices made - such as Ipod speaker docks and wireless bluetooth speakers - all using recycled or repurposed materials, such as cigar boxes, vintage cases and antique radios.

In effect, BoscaBosca is a recycling project, as every piece made is upcycled from something else. In that way BoscaBosca is an anti-manufacturing enterprise.
Each piece is unique, and numbered. Great care is taken in all aspects of the work, to ensure that the device works smoothly, and looks fantastic. More recently I have been repurposing vintage radios, and each of these is approached differently. Sometimes they are sprayed or painted to give a makeover, other times extra design components are added, and with some the shell is restored to match it's original finish. All electronic components and wiring are new.

Dear Shoppers,

The most commonly asked questions are in relation to shipping times... for international shipping here are some rough guidelines from recent sales:

UK - 3-5 Working Days
USA: 4-7 Working Days
Australia and Elsewhere: 5-8 Working Days.

I can ship the item within 1-2 working days after it has been bought.

I now only ship with trusted couriers such as FedEx, TNT, GLS and UPS, and I shop around to get the best price.
Happy Browsing!

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy Gift Cards and Etsy Credits
Accepting Paypal, Credit Card and Etsy Gift Cards.
The shipping costs for my items are estimated from quick quotes I gather from the most competitive international couriers.

After purchase, if the shipping cost is cheaper than I have listed - I will refund the difference to the buyer on Paypal. If the cost is more than I have listed - I cover the extra charge.

The reason they are estimates is because every piece is a one-off, different size and weight - it would take weeks to go through shipping costs for every country - so I get an estimation from the courier and refund the difference afterwards.

If you would like to get an exact quote for your country, please message me and I will respond ASAP.
