In quanto donna che lavora nel settore tecnologico, desidero creare design che ispirino le ragazze e i bambini a esplorare le discipline STEM e a credere di avere un posto in questo ambito. Attualmente le donne rappresentano solo una piccola percentuale del settore STEM e desidero che i miei design contribuiscano a promuovere una maggiore rappresentanza, fiducia e visibilità per le generazioni future.
Sono anche madre di due gemelle, e gran parte del motivo per cui faccio tutto questo è per loro. Se un giorno sceglieranno di intraprendere una carriera in ambito STEM, voglio che crescano sapendo che c'è spazio anche per loro nella tecnologia e che le donne possono costruire, creare, guidare e innovare in questo settore. Voglio mostrare loro una strada da percorrere e contribuire a infondere fiducia anche in altre giovani ragazze.
Inoltre, desidero creare capi d'abbigliamento unici e significativi per gli sviluppatori. Come ingegnere del software e sviluppatore .NET/Microsoft, ho notato che la maggior parte delle magliette tecniche esistenti sono molto generiche e non rappresentano veramente l'identità, la creatività e la passione degli sviluppatori nelle specifiche comunità tecnologiche. Vorrei cambiare questa situazione progettando capi d'abbigliamento che siano autentici, moderni e in cui gli sviluppatori possano riconoscersi, celebrando al contempo la comunità tecnologica e ispirando la prossima generazione.
As a woman in tech, I want to create designs that inspire young girls and children to explore STEM and believe they belong in technology. Women currently represent only a small percentage of the STEM industry, and I want my designs to help encourage more representation, confidence, and visibility for future generations.
I am also a mother of twin girls, and a big part of why I am doing this is for them. If they choose to pursue STEM one day, I want them to grow up seeing that there is a place for them in technology and that women can build, create, lead, and innovate in this industry. I want to show them a path forward and help inspire confidence in other young girls as well.
In addition, I want to create unique and meaningful apparel for developers. As a software engineer and .NET/Microsoft developer, I noticed that most existing tech shirts are very generic and do not truly represent the identity, creativity, and passion of developers in specific technology communities. I would like to change that by designing apparel that feels authentic, modern, and relatable to developers while also celebrating the tech community and inspiring the next generation.
