On Etsy since 2017

Creating since 1992.

I am a Roscommon native living and working in the west of Ireland. Having started painting murals in 2011 I quickly generated interest in hand painted designs and murals in my local area. After qualifying as a second level Music and Religion teacher I taught in Ireland for a brief period before moving to Ras al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates where I worked as a Primary Music teacher in a private International Academy close to Dubai. It was during this time that I found myself again through Art.

I first experimented with watercolours in the UAE after many years of using oils and acrylicS and the market quickly grew for personalised commissioned pieces and cards, so this is what I have continued to do for the past 4 years.

I have just set up a new Studio in County Roscommon where I now work full time creating commissioned pieces, portraits, pet portraits, landscape piece and much more. I also dabble somewhat in photography and am hoping to launch new collections of photo prints and art prints in the coming months.

In September 2020 I accepted a place on the Contemporary Art course in GMIT CCAM where I am now also studying full time. It's obviously not at all easy to keep all sides going. I do not make enough income from Art yet to be able to move to Galway so I am currently commuting 4 days a week up and down to the college. It is doable, however it takes a lot of planning ahead in advance of launches, work time, assignments and getting to take some time off.
If you would like to support the development of my work and studio please feel free to “buy me a coffee” at ko-fi.com/ellensusanigoeart .

Thank you for supporting a small Irish dream! ☘️

Care instructions

Keep your artwork out of direct sunlight. Your artwork might have a protective layer of varnish, but it is still possible for it to crack or fade if subjected to bright sunlight for long periods of time. If exposed to extreme heat or sunlight over long periods of time, paper can become brittle and reach a point where it simply crumbles to the touch.

Frame under non-glare glass, treated with a coating to protect the work from UV sunlight if possible.

The mat and backing of your frame should be made of acid free paper and finished with acid free tape. This is to avoid any moisture reaching your painting and damaging it.

Try to avoid subjecting your artworks to extreme changes in atmosphere. Avoid excessive dryness, humidity, heat or cold.
