Quando ero piccolo, avevo un negozio di cartone. Non conteneva merce reale; tuttavia, frutta, verdura e altri articoli alimentari sono stati stampati sui lati in rosso, giallo e verde. Facevo in modo che i miei genitori e i miei nonni giocassero con me più e più volte. Mi piaceva vendere loro oggetti immaginari dall'altra parte del piccolo bancone di cartone. Di volta in volta dicevo: "Giochiamo a negozio!" E ricordo le loro grida di: "Oh, no! Non di nuovo!"

Molti anni dopo, ho scoperto Etsy! Adoro esplorare i reperti vintage e le opere creative degli artisti di talento su Etsy e ho deciso di aprire il mio negozio Etsy - il mio negozio di cartone nella vita reale!

Sono sempre alla ricerca di qualcosa di vecchio e diverso. Lo shopping per il vintage è stato un mio passatempo per anni. Vedrei qualcosa che mi piace, lo porterei a casa, lo ripulirei e si rivelerebbe un premio. Mio marito e i miei figli continuavano a dirmi che avevo "un occhio per le cose" e che dovevo fare qualcosa con esso.

Quando mio figlio maggiore stava partendo per il college, sapevamo tutti che avevo bisogno di qualcosa di divertente e felice per facilitare la transizione. FabsCardboardStore è uno sbocco eccitante e creativo per me e una fonte quotidiana di gioia che posso trasmettere agli altri.

Adoro la caccia di trovare e salvare favolosi oggetti vintage. Ancora più divertente è l'emozione di trasmetterli ad altre persone che pensano anche loro di essere grandi!

Faccio acquisti per il mio negozio Etsy nello stesso modo in cui ho sempre fatto acquisti. Seleziono solo le cose che AMO che mi catturano. E, se qualcosa non vende, oh, beh, va bene. È qualcosa che AMO e riuscirò a mantenerlo! :)

Una delle cose che mi piace di più è preparare i pacchi da inviare ai miei clienti. Avvolgo ognuno appositamente e uso carta velina e nastro vintage. Adoro anche i convos avanti e indietro e imparare cosa faranno i miei clienti con i loro tesori e sentire quanto gli piacciono una volta arrivati.

È il momento clou della mia giornata in cui le persone si fermano nel mio negozio!

When I was little, I had a cardboard store. It contained no real merchandise; however, fruits, vegetables, and other grocery items were printed on its sides in red, yellow, and green. I would make my parents and grandparents play store with me over and over again. I loved to sell them imaginary items from across the tiny cardboard counter. Time after time I would say, "Let's play store!" And I remember their shouts of, "Oh, no! Not again!"

Many years later, I discovered Etsy! I love exploring the vintage finds and creative works of the talented artists on Etsy and decided to open my own Etsy shop -- my own real life Cardboard Store!

I'm always on the hunt for something old and different. Shopping for vintage has been a pastime of mine for years. I'd see something I like, bring it home, clean it up, and it would turn out to be a prize. My husband and boys kept telling me I had "an eye for things" and I should do something with it.

When my oldest son was leaving for college, we all knew I needed something fun and happy to ease the transition. FabsCardboardStore is an exciting, creative outlet for me and a daily source of joy that I get to pass on to others.

I love the hunt of finding and rescuing fabulous vintage items. Even more fun is the thrill of passing them on to other people who also think they're great!

I shop for my Etsy store the same way I have always shopped. I only select things I LOVE that capture me. And, if something doesn't sell, oh, well, that's okay. It's something I LOVE, and I'll get to keep it! :)

One of the things I enjoy most is preparing packages to send to my customers. I wrap each one specially and use tissue paper and vintage ribbon. I also love back and forth convos and learning what my customers are going to do with their treasures and hearing how much they like them once they arrive.

It's the highlight of my day when people stop by my store!
