My Story
A little over ten years ago, I was running a small company installing kitchens and bathrooms in hotels and apartment complexes, doing every job myself, figuring it out as I went. No systems, no playbook, no one handing me the answers. Just work, and the belief that if I kept building, something real would come of it.
It did (but not in the way I expected).
That small operation taught me more about running a business than any classroom ever could. Estimating jobs, managing clients, writing contracts, chasing invoices, showing up every day even when the margin was thin. I learned what it actually takes to build something from the ground up — and I learned it the hard way.
From there, I kept climbing. I moved into superintendent roles, overseeing larger and larger projects. New construction. Occupied renovations. Multi-family developments. Eventually I found myself as a Lead Superintendent, running ground-up construction programs between $120M and $205M, managing 250+ people on-site daily, reporting directly to C-suite executives and Boards of Directors, and developing the systems that kept multi-billion dollar operations running on time and on budget.
Before I turned 30, I had overseen more than $500 million in completed construction.
But here's the thing nobody tells you about that level of success.. the higher you climb, the more clearly you see how many people are struggling at the bottom. Small business owners reinventing the wheel on every job. Entrepreneurs with great ideas and zero systems. Contractors losing money not because they can't do the work, but because the business side is a mess. I watched it everywhere I went, on every job site, in every industry adjacent to mine.
I knew exactly what they needed. Because I had built it — over and over again — for some of the largest construction companies in the country.
So I decided to package it. To take the systems, templates, frameworks, and tools I had spent a decade building at the highest level — and make them accessible to anyone starting from zero.
That's GroundUpGuide.
It's for the contractor who wants to look like a $10M company on their next project. It's for the entrepreneur launching their first business who doesn't know what they don't know yet. It's for the person with a plan and the drive (just needs the right tools to execute it).
It's also personal. I'm building this for my fiancé and our daughter, as i do everything i can to get back home, back to our family, our people, and the place we belong. Every product I build here is one more step toward that goal.
I'm not selling you someone else's idea of what a business system should look like. I'm giving you the exact tools I've used (and still use) on the biggest stages in the industry.
Start somewhere. Build something real.
