Hola, soy Carrie, la artista y maestra detrás de HeART to Create. Aunque mi tienda de Etsy es nueva y ofrece kits de arte para mujeres, llevo tiempo inspirando a personas de todas las edades con mi arte bíblico para niños en Forget Him Knot.

He dedicado muchos años a enseñar arte y a animar a la gente a crear, y en algún momento una idea siempre volvía a mí: nuestra creatividad proviene del Creador.

Ahí es donde realmente comenzó HeART to Create.

Quería crear algo para mujeres que combinara dos cosas que me encantan: crear arte y pasar tiempo con la Palabra de Dios; pero no quería que pareciera otro estudio bíblico completo que terminar o un proyecto artístico que requiriera habilidades especiales para abordarlo.

Quería que se sintiera más como una invitación.

Fíjate en algo que quizás no hayas notado antes.

Llevo enseñando arte el tiempo suficiente para saber que un lienzo en blanco puede intimidar. Personas de todas las edades, desde preescolares hasta adultos, me miran con los ojos muy abiertos cuando les pongo delante el lienzo blanco. Así que no tendrás que empezar por ahí. Yo creo las obras, pinto los ejemplos y grabo los vídeos para que tengas un punto de partida. Puedes seguir mis pasos, cambiar los colores, experimentar o darle tu toque personal.

Y no, el tuyo no tiene por qué ser exactamente igual al mío. De hecho, espero que no lo sea. :)

Cada kit de HeART to Create se basa en las Escrituras e incluye más que la pintura en sí. Encontrarás pequeños fragmentos para leer, guardar y reflexionar durante el proceso. Algunos proyectos invitan a la reflexión y la introspección. Otros son alegres. Algunos están pensados ​​para compartir con un niño, un nieto, un amigo o un grupo de mujeres.

Porque a veces crear juntos es la mejor parte.

Mi esperanza no es simplemente que termines con algo bonito.

Hi, I'm Carrie, the artist and teacher behind HeART to Create. Although my Etsy store is new with Art kits for women, I'm been teaching hearts of all ages with my Bible Art for kids at Forget Him Knot.

I've spent many years teaching art and encouraging people to create, and somewhere along the way one thought kept coming back to me: our creativity comes from the Creator.

That's really where HeART to Create began.

I wanted to make something for women that brought together two things I love—creating art and spending time in God's Word—but I didn't want it to feel like another full Bible study to finish or an art project you needed special skills to tackle.

I wanted it to feel more like an invitation.

Open the package.
Get out your paints.
Read the Scripture.
Make something.
Notice something you may not have noticed before.

I've taught art long enough to know that a blank canvas can be intimidating. Every age from preschool to adults stare at me with wide eyes when that white canvas is set before them. So you won't have to start there. I create the artwork, paint the examples, and make the videos so you have somewhere to begin. You can follow what I do, change the colors, experiment, or completely make it your own.

And no, yours doesn't have to look exactly like mine. I actually hope it doesn't. :)

Each HeART to Create kit is built around Scripture and includes more than the painting itself. You'll find little pieces to read, keep, and reflect on along the way. Some projects are quiet and thoughtful. Some are cheerful. Some are meant to be shared with a child, grandchild, friend, or a ladies group.

Because sometimes creating together is the best part.

My hope isn't simply that you finish with something pretty.

I hope the products gives you a reason to slow down for a little while, use the creativity God gave you, and turn your attention back toward Him.

You don't have to be an artist.... just have a HeART to Create!
