5 out of 5 starsThis was single-handedly the greatest gift I have ever given and that’s saying something! It’s quite large - in the best way - and truly magical in its form and construction. John was amazing to work with - he personalized the gift so perfectly and easily. We will forever cherish it. I cannot give him higher marks! What a talent.

5 out of 5 starsI had such a wonderful experience purchasing this lovely piece of handmade art. It is a unique piece made from found objects from the sea and I had been wanting one from this artist for a long time. When it became available in his etsy shop I acted quickly to purchase it. He responded immediately, and shipped it quickly from half way around the world. It was packaged like I've never seen before, insuring that the piece would arrive in perfect condition, and it did! I'm so happy!

5 out of 5 starsReally beautiful!! It came with perfect packaging, with instructions on how to properly unpack it before use. A work of art. Thank you
About JohnDunnAutomata
I make mechanical sculptures, primarily from driftwood and salvaged remnants of abandoned boats, and on a maritime theme.
All materials are reclaimed from the beaches, boatyards and harbours of the area I live in the south east of Ireland.
All carved elements, birds etc. are made from locally sourced limewood.
The mechanics comprise simple belts and pulleys made of birch plywood.
