I made it for my daughters, because I wanted to teach them about the world through a Christian-centered lens. That is the reason Little Flock exists.
I wanted lessons with enough substance to trust, enough warmth to enjoy together, and directions a parent could actually use at home. I kept looking for that and kept coming up short, so I started writing it.
HOW A LESSON IS BUILT
Every lesson starts with the Bible passage itself. I read it in context, check each direct quotation word for word against the World English Bible Classic, which is public domain, and then write the parent guidance in plain language so you can open the page and begin.
The family stories are original. They help a child recognize the lesson in ordinary life, and they are kept clearly separate from the Bible account, so a child can always tell which is which.
WHY THERE ARE TWO AGE PATHS
A four-year-old and an eight-year-old can sit at the same table and work from the same passage. Younger children meet the lesson through pictures, movement, storytelling, choosing, and making. Older children retell, compare, explain, write, and create. The truth they are learning is the same; what changes is the way each child answers it.
WHAT PRINTABLE MEANS HERE
Each unit comes in US Letter and A4 at native size, and each of those comes in a color edition and a low-ink edition. The low-ink edition is built as its own file with the artwork prepared to use less ink, rather than the same pages sent through your printer in draft mode. A home printer is usually the only printer a family has.
