Pretty by Kate è nato come la maggior parte delle cose belle: a un tavolo da cucina, circondata da troppe schede aperte e un quaderno pieno di nomi di ristoranti.

Stavo organizzando un viaggio in Giappone con il mio compagno, ma non riuscivo a trovare una guida che ci rappresentasse davvero. I blog erano troppi e dispersivi. I PDF su Etsy erano belli ma generici: sempre gli stessi dieci caffè copiati e incollati in ogni itinerario. Così ne ho creata una io. Giorno per giorno, hotel per hotel, con mappe, orari dei voli e quei piccoli dettagli disegnati a mano che avrei voluto trovare in una guida.

Gli amici hanno chiesto delle copie. Poi le hanno chieste i loro amici. Ed eccoci qui.

Cosa faccio

Due cose che mi stanno molto a cuore:

🗺️ Guide di viaggio personalizzate: dimmi dove vuoi andare, chi verrà con te, il numero del tuo volo e dove alloggerai, e io creerò una guida su misura per il tuo viaggio. Piani dettagliati giorno per giorno, ristoranti selezionati con cura, mappe interattive, tracciamento del volo in tempo reale e un editor per permetterti di modificare ogni minimo dettaglio fino a ottenere la soluzione perfetta.

💌 Bellissimi articoli di cartoleria: la cancelleria stampata, i biglietti e i ricordi da cui tutto è iniziato. Pensati per essere quel tipo di oggetti che non si riesce proprio a buttare via.

Cosa lo rende diverso

Ogni guida è autenticamente personalizzata, non un modello predefinito con il tuo nome inserito a forza. Mi dedico con passione ai dettagli: luoghi reali che esistono davvero, una tipografia elegante, colori tenui che risultano piacevoli sia al tatto che sullo schermo del telefono. Tutto è pensato per essere conservato, stampato, riposto in una borsa e utilizzato concretamente.

Una piccola promessa

Sono una designer indipendente con sede nel Regno Unito. Ogni ordine è importante per me. Se qualcosa non va, contattatemi: troverò sempre una soluzione.

Pretty by Kate started the way most good things do — at a kitchen table, surrounded by too many open tabs and a notebook full of restaurant names.

I was planning a trip to Japan for me and my partner, and I couldn't find a single guide that actually felt like us. The blogs were overwhelming. The PDFs on Etsy were beautiful but generic — the same ten cafés copy-pasted into every itinerary. So I made my own. Day by day, hotel by hotel, with maps and flight times and the little hand-drawn touches I wished someone had made for me.

Friends asked for copies. Then their friends did. And here we are.

What I make

Two things, both close to my heart:

🗺️ Personalised travel guides — you tell me where you're going, who's coming, your flight number and where you're staying, and I'll put together a guide built around your actual trip. Day-by-day plans, hand-picked restaurants, tappable maps, live flight tracking, and an editor so you can tweak any little thing until it feels right.

💌 Pretty paper goods — the printed stationery, cards, and keepsakes that started it all. Designed to be the kind of thing you can't quite bring yourself to throw away.

What makes it different

Every guide is genuinely personalised — not a template with your name dropped in. I obsess over the details: real places that really exist, beautiful typography, soft colours that look good in your hand and on your phone. Everything is made to be kept, printed, tucked into a tote, and actually used.

A small promise

I'm a one-woman studio in the UK. Every order matters to me. If something isn't quite right, message me — I'll always make it right.
