Proof & Particle™ is ontstaan uit frustratie: te veel wetenschappelijke kleding wordt vanuit een extern perspectief ontworpen. De formules worden decoratie, de grappen blijven bij herkenning steken en de mensen en ideeën verdwijnen achter clipart.
De vonk was persoonlijk. Het lezen van Simon Singhs 'De laatste stelling van Fermat' bracht onze oprichter in contact met Evariste Galois, een jonge wiskundige die revolutionaire ideeën ordende in de nacht voor een fataal duel. De wiskunde was belangrijk. Net als de persoon, de urgentie en alles wat onafgemaakt was gebleven.
We ontwerpen elk shirt twee keer: eerst als iets dat visueel sterk genoeg is om te dragen, en vervolgens als een subtiel signaal aan de persoon die begrijpt waarom het grappig, ontroerend of treffend is. Begrip moet het shirt verdiepen. Het mag het shirt nooit hoeven te redden.

Proof & Particle™ began with a frustration: too much science apparel is written from the outside looking in. The formulas become decoration, the jokes stop at recognition, and the people and ideas disappear behind clip art.
The spark was personal. Reading Simon Singh's Fermat's Last Theorem introduced our founder to Evariste Galois, a young mathematician organizing revolutionary ideas on the night before a fatal duel. The mathematics mattered. So did the person, the urgency, and everything left unfinished.
We build every design twice: first as something visually strong enough to wear, then as a quiet signal to the person who understands why it is funny, moving, or exact. Understanding should deepen the shirt. It should never have to rescue it.
Proof & Particle creates and verifies the artwork. Printful, our disclosed production partner, prints, packages, and ships each shirt only after it is ordered.
