Announcement   Welcome to my shop

I'm Julia and I live just outside Ballinskelligs in South West Ireland. My workshop overlooks Ballinskelligs bay and over to county Cork on a clear day.

I have always needed to be drawing or creating something from an early age. It took me eight years of different art colleges before I finally decided on clay. Setting up my business was a massive learning curve and plenty of mistakes were made along the way. My inspiration comes from the coastal region in which I live. I have a choice of beaches as well as little fishing villages to visit and can often be found in one of these places with sketch book and camera in hand. I love to combine the beaches for driftwood which I combine into some of my designs.

About

From the wild Atlantic coast

I'm Julia and I live up on a hill overlooking Ballinskelligs bay with my partner, two boys and two cats.

My workshop is at home also and it's a real advantage to have only a three second commute to work, lucky me.

Many years ago at school the only subject I was any good at or indeed enjoyed was art. I would never have believed back then that I am living in such a beautiful part of the world doing the one thing I love the most. Even on the cold dark January mornings I love to go to my workshop and transform a lump of clay into something that people will actually pay me to have.

As well as the creative process , I love meeting my customers and having a chat. During the summer months I meet people from all over the world who are visiting my part of the world. It's a real pleasure when they choose a piece of my work to bring back with them as a reminder of this beautiful coastal land.
