Sticker Dreams from a Bookkeeper’s Heart
Cómo empezó Sticker Suite Studio
Hola, soy Starlene.
How Sticker Suite Studio Began
Hi, I’m Starlene - a creative at heart, bookkeeper by trade, and the human behind Sticker Suite Studio. For years, I've helped business owners get their finances in order, and one day I realized it was time to infuse my life with a little more creativity and color.
That’s when Sticker Suite Studio was born! My very first sticker idea was my Bookkeeper Power series - a colorful, flowery, retro-inspired design. Think "Flower Power," but with Bookkeeper Power, CFO Power and Accountant Power instead!
Along the way I discovered my muse and mascot, Winnie, a.k.a. Elowyn, and she reminds me daily that structure and creativity can go hand in hand.
Sticker Suite Studio is my creative outlet and happy place. I love every part of the process - from dreaming up designs and illustrating hand drawn artwork in Procreate to printing with Enzo (my EPSON EcoTank ET-4850), cutting with the ever-precise Crissy (my Cricut), and carefully packaging each order for its new home. I truly enjoy it all!
I wanted to create a space where stickers aren't just cute - they're encouraging, empowering, a little snarky sometimes, but always rooted in real life with a splash of humor.
For full disclosure when I first got started with my stickers I used Canva Pro elements, and had AI help from ChatGPT and Dalle-e.
But then I got bit by the drawing bug... I started using my refurbished iPad Pro (affectionately known as Granny 9 point 7), and Procreate to create hand-drawn seamless patterns. Every day I get to spend time drawing after the day's work is complete (client books, housework, animal care, personal care, etc.) and it rejuvenates me and lifts my mood.
You'll still find listings in my shop that were created with the help of AI, but I am also adding more of my own hand drawn items as quickly as I am able.
Thanks for visiting my shop!
With love,
Starlene & the Sticker Suite Studio team
