5 out of 5 starsGreat quality terrarium. Super happy with it, shipping was slow but it was very well packed and totally worth it. Seller was very nice and responded very quickly even with the differences in time zones. Overall very happy with my purchase.

About greenflamedesignshop
Bring the outside in.
Green Flame Design is a new start-up business based in Dublin, run by Eugene O’Loughlin and his daughter, Sinead, from their small workshop. Eugene is a skilled metalworker and has manged to combine his passion for design and copper into this unique offering. He served his apprenticeship in the early ‘80s in Newmarket Square in Dublin’s Liberties area, a centuries-old neighbourhood known for its Viking history and medieval buildings. Christ Church Cathedral is at the heart of this area and Eugene was fortunate to be mentored by some extremely talented metalworkers who specialised in ecclesiastical work.
Eugene’s desire to make planters began about thirty years ago when his dad spotted a very attractive terrarium in a pub, which has long since gone, in Dublin. His dad asked Eugene if he could make something similar for him and this started his passion for this niche craft. His original terrarium is still proudly displayed in his mother’s house to this day.
We work from a small workshop where we specialise in making handmade planters and terrariums in copper, wood, and glass. We enjoy experimenting with various finishes on copper, using recipes that have been collected from books over the years. These finishes are difficult to predict and it’s almost impossible to replicate a previous one, which means each piece is truly unique and special.

I set this business because I was tired of working for other people and saw niches in the markets that I could fill. My other passion is making bad jokes.
