Hello Etsy! 👋 I have just opened this shop and thought I should probably tell you a bit about me. I’m Saara, a Finn living in Ireland for exactly half of my life this year. I graduated as an Interior Designer in 2010 but rather than pursuing a career in design ended up back working in an office to put food on the table while raising a beautiful daughter as a single mom. Since then I met my awesome husband, started decorating our home together, had an amazing wedding and another beautiful baby girl. During the pregnancy I became critically ill which resulted in our little one having to be delivered by an emergency caesarean two months before her due date. She is an absolute trooper and thankfully came through it like a super star. This all has made us truly appreciate how precious life really is and that not a day should be wasted doing something we don’t enjoy. So I quit my job to stay home and mind our little miracle and start a business of my own doing something I enjoy more than anything else; making pretty things. This past year has been an absolutely mind blowing experience and I am now happier than ever before. Making macramé has given me an outlet I wholeheartedly enjoy and I’m hoping it will enable me to stay on this magical journey of creating while staying home and looking after my family.
It gives me the best vibes being able to make gorgeous things and I am thrilled to send these good vibes to the homes of other people too. 💚💚💚 Here’s to a wonderful beginning for redesign.ie!!! 🥂➰👐
