This is very soft Merino, suitable for spinning, wet and nuno felting--as well nuno felting.

**A note about fiber terminology is in order here. We use the term “roving” because it has become the broad, sort of “catch-all” category to describe fibers that are arranged in a long length of fiber used for spinning and felting. In a true roving, the staples are different lengths and are arranged in different directions. “Top” is a long length of fibers whereby the the staple is of all similar lengths and arranged in the same direction. So while we labeled this wool roving to fit Etsy’s categories, this is an ounce of wool top. :)

To make a years long story short... several things combined to push us to change up. 1) Very simply, we have arrived at an age where our hands and shoulders protested the day in, day out repetitive work of roving prep. 2) We realized we card most everything before using, we prefer it that way! 3) Our wait times were getting longer and longer and we were having troubles keeping up. Now... everything is ready to ship before you order and we can pace ourselves more reasonably. We hope this results in faster, more efficient service ❤️
