The best medium for rose propagation is fine Vermiculite. Vermiculite does the best job of absorbing and retaining water. What makes it special is that fungus and bacteria don’t grow in Vermiculite which improves the highly success rates of propagation. Roots will be produced stronger over the next few months so that the rose cuttings can be potted in spring next season.
