We are so excited to begin offering our Monstera Adansonii (Swiss Cheese). They thrive from indirect sun & love to quickly grow and climb every which way. If you allow the plant to grow up a stake or trellis, it will develop larger, picturesque leaves with very defined Swiss Cheese like holes.
Please note that tears in leaves, splits in leaves, leaves growing through splits in leafs, crinkling in leaves growing through leafs, and long vines are very normal for this plant. It is nothing to be concerned about and is not damage, just nature. Also, if a leaf or two has browning on the tips or a knick on the leaf, this is also normal for a plant growing over time.
the 8in hanging baskets are currently very large and you should expect some yellow leaves upon arrival.
Unrooted cuttings will be shipped in a water tube to provide hydration during transit. Plants will be shipped with some soil in a specially crafted wrap to provide protection during transit. Planters are not included but can be purchased separately through their own listing. Our 8” hanging basket is shipped inside a standard green 8” hanging nursery basket. Our listing photo features our hanging terra-cotta planter, it has its own listing and must be purchased separately.
Cuttings are a fun way to start a new plant and their success depends on many factors such as temperatures, humidity, water quality, cleanliness (using clean vases/planters/soil, etc..) Please see our FAQ for helpful information on propagating and growing your plant. This process can take a few weeks and if you follow the steps seen in the FAQ page properly you should have success. After you have received your cutting it is no longer in our care and we are not responsible if a cutting does not root. If you have more questions after reading the information on our FAQ page please feel free to reach out.
********FALL & WINTER SHIPPING GUIDE*********
We are able to ship year-round no matter the weather. By using a combination of thermal wraps, heat packs and USPS Priority shipping our plants maintain a heated and comfortable environment throughout the transit process. In addition, USPS Priority shipping includes a $100 shipping insurance policy which we handle on our end. We do recommend signing up for text notification updates through USPS so that when your order does arrive it doesn’t sit outside for long periods of time. These steps combined with our winter packaging create a care-free ordering experience, even during the coldest times of the year.
We offer three different varieties of UniHeat shipping packs. Packages shipping via USPS Priority to large metropolitan areas tend to arrive within 1-3 days while packages going to more rural areas can take 2-5 days. If your package is very heavy and going to the West Coast, it will be shipped using UPS. This method has very accurate shipping updates and tends to take between 1-4 days. Keep these timeframes in mind when selecting between our 72-hour, 96-hour, and 120-hour heat packs.
We suggest adding 1 heat pack per every 3 four inch plants or every 2 six inch plants.
We do utilize both First Class and Priority shipping classes as well as Fed Ex Home Delivery. Any purchase with 3 or more plants will automatically be shipped using USPS Priority. Any purchase with less than 3 plants can be upgraded from First Class to Priority at checkout or within a listing. Heavier packages containing pottery or very large plants and going to the West Coast are shipped using Fed Ex Home Delivery.
You can either add a heat pack by clicking the link below or adding it within each plant's individual listing.

********SHIPPING FAQ’S********
- All plants are shipped in nursery pots with soil with exception of unrooted and rooted cuttings which are shipped with sphagnum moss or wet toilette. Any decorative pots pictured in listing photos are sold separately.
- For basic plant care instructions, please see the item details found within each listing.
- Plants featured in our listing photos are not the same plants that will be received, unless this is explicitly noted in the listing. However, your plant will be very similar to the one pictured, with the same number of plants per pot.
- We only ship within the US and US territories.
- Plants should be tracked and brought indoors very quickly, especially during the winter and fall seasons. Please sign up for USPS tracking updates or have your package held at the post office for pickup.
- Plants do stress during transit. It is normal for a plant to be a bit dehydrated, have slight tears in foliage, and/or drop a few leaves while it acclimates to your home.
- Please double check your address before checkout. We are not responsible for packages shipping to the wrong address.
- If you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
One trick we have noticed the plant community uses in the winter or during 100+ degree days is to have all their mail put on hold and held at their local post office. This prevents their package from sitting on a delivery vehicle all day. Instead, their package sits inside a 65-70 degree facility and can be picked whenever they feel like grabbing it.
****PRODUCT INFO****
Nearly all of our product listings are grower's choice. We select a plant or two from a single batch of anywhere from 30 to 500 plants to photograph for our listing photos. We move such a high volume of plants and offer such a wide selection of varieties that photographing each plant would take away from our ability to process and ship orders. So due to nature being nature, not every plant of the same size and variety will look exactly alike. Instead, we practice the industry standard of selling plants based on pot size. Our only exception to this rule is our limited-release rare Aroids and Hoya. For these items, we will feature several photos of the exact plant you will receive and will explicitly state that the exact plant is being offered in the product's title.
