5 out of 5 starsA gorgeous blue that has lots of potential. I've been giving this blue a real workout and it's passing all of my tests. I'm giving it a blue ribbon, a 1st place trophy and a gold medal!

5 out of 5 starsThis purple is so lovely. Makes me think of lilacs, iris, and wisteria. Getting new watercolors is like a high for me! I guess I could have more dangerous addictions. I'm able to keep it under control most of the time. Sometimes though, I go a little crazy (not in a bad way) and buy watercolors when I really don't need any and I'll never be able to use these up before I die. I'm 66 yrs old and even if I lived to be 100, I'd never run out of watercolor paints!

5 out of 5 starsCad yellow is so versatile. It's a strong tinting yellow. Great for using alone or with mixes. Yellow makes me think of sunshine and I love sunshine! With yellow, I can go on a ride in a "yellow submarine" with "sunshine on my shoulders" and "Mr blue sky" above my head. Please excuse me while my mind wonders a bit!

5 out of 5 starsI use to not care for oranges, but I've changed my mind. Oranges have a use in floral, landscape, and abstract. I also find that I can get some surprising mixes with oranges. Don't be afraid to mix a bit green gold with orange. You can a beautiful color for foliage, etc.

5 out of 5 starsLove the opera pink color, but it always gets a bad reputation because of the lightfastness problem. That doesn't bother me, I haven't sold any art yet and don't know that I ever will. I'm not a business women, I'm a creator!

5 out of 5 starsThese paints are very pigmented and looked great when I swatched them. They come individually wrapped in cute waxed paper and look like wrapped candy. A metal case was provided and the pans fit perfectly.

Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalized orders
I can do a custom order but it will take a little extra time to prepare. It can take up to three weeks for some colors to ‘dry’ enough to be wrapped.
Care instructions
All homemade watercolors are special and different. Some require more water to activate, some require less. Every paint has its own qualities and textures it makes so it can take a little more or less time to use these paints. Honey based watercolors can be a bit extra sticky depending on climate. Cool, dry storage is best. I do spritz water all over them when I open a tin and I have closed the tin afterwards with no issues arising. Some Mica will be extremely stickier so it takes longer to dry than some regular pigments.
Gift wrapping and packaging
Yes! I love how I do my wrapping for my watercolors! It’s so much fun! I was thinking of calling myself Candy something, but I honestly think that would have been too much silliness. I can do gift packaging as well (non-see through bag) depending on what you need! Please leave a comment when ordering and I will do what I can to help out!
Wholesale availability
This will probably be a no, it’s already crazy putting the paints into pans! Large orders already scare me but I have been bulking up my stock and working hard!
Are your watercolors vegan?
I use honey in my gum arabic mixture, so I think not. I know bees aren’t animals, but they are creatures too and I respect the beekeepers by purchasing from known good handlers in my local area.
Are your watercolors toxic? Are they safe?
Natural earth pigments are not toxic. Pigments with words "cadmium", "cobalt", "manganese", and "lead" in the title are toxic. They are most toxic when inhaled in powdered form (I do wear protective gear when I mix the initial powder into paint, and only relax a little once’s it’s in half pans and put away). In watercolor form, they are not hazardous at all! (Prussian blue have this spontaneous combustion warning when mixed with linseed oil!) These paints are made for painting onto paper. Please do not eat the paint or paint onto skin. Please supervise all children using the paint.
