First off, in the age of AI, WE DO NOT USE IT! Now that that’s out of the way, here’s our story.
It all started with a girl… well, a show, to be exact: Buffy the Vampire Slayer, created by Joss Whedon in the 90s. At the time, we were searching for pop culture-inspired candles but couldn’t find anything we truly loved, so we decided to make our own.
Our first candle batches were poured in 2017, but it took us another three years to perfect our formulas. We officially launched to the public in July 2020. If you're new here, welcome to the candle cult!
We create one-of-a-kind pop culture fan candles and gothic concrete décor, inspired by our favorite shows, music, movies, books, and more. Our Magic Box Candles include themed blends like our signature Sunnydale Collection, and feature references to iconic fandoms and niche obsessions alike. This is not your average candle company—and we’re seriously proud of that.
Our Ingredients
Candles: Made with our own blend of luxury coco soy wax
Wax Melts: Poured using a hemp-coconut soy blend
Colorants: Eco-dyes only
Wicks: All wooden wicks
Packaging: Reusable or upcyclable materials
We handcraft every candle in small batches in Arizona, constantly striving to make our products more eco-friendly without compromising quality.
Policies
All sales are final. Due to the custom nature of our products, we do not accept returns or exchanges. If your order arrives damaged or goes missing in transit, please reach out we’ll work with you to resolve the issue.
Candle Care & Safety Tips
To get the most out of your candle and ensure a safe burn:
Trim wooden wicks to 3/16" before the first burn. For ongoing use, 1/8" is ideal.
Pro tip: Start with 3/16" and adjust as needed.
First burn = most important. Let the wax melt to the edges (about 3–4 hours) to avoid tunneling.
General burn time: 2–4 hours max. Never burn longer than 4 hours at a time.
Keep it clean: Remove any wick trimmings or debris before lighting.
Use the lid to keep dust out between uses.
Never leave a burning candle unattended or near flammable objects.
Keep out of reach of pets, children, and away from drafts or vents. Wood wicks are sensitive to airflow!
Burn in a well-ventilated space, and at least 12 inches from anything that could catch fire.
Let it cool before touching or moving.
