As a child I was obsessed with the travel section in the back pages of National Geographic magazine. I sent away for informational brochures for just about every country in the world. Little did I know, that as a young adult the urge to explore the world came upon me full tilt.

My love of travel combined with my interest in textiles, art, and all things from wondrous to wacky lead to the birth of my shop, Nomad. For over 24 years we have been involved in fair trade, supporting artisans and designers from all around the globe as well as from around the corner.

I still find the time to stay involved in the crafts that I've always loved, such as jewelry making, knitting, crochet, off-loom weaving, and digging in my garden.
