Covellite is a very soft stone, able to be scratched with a fingernail and to have it wrapped this thoroughly with so little damage is an impressive feat. The covellite itself is quite lovely; there is only one deep gouge noted, and while small, well worth the cost for the difficulty.

I am a gemologist, GIIA and many years ago. I lost out on a Unakite stone that had the floral pattern. Haven’t seen it in over 30 some years. Have plenty of the black-and-white from China, but this is a very much warmer pattern and large specimen, skillfully set, and I will enjoy it as it is called by many nicknames, but one of them would be chrysanthemum stone because the pattern very much can look like fireworks or spiderwebs, but definitely also looks like a floral pattern.
