“Flying up... Dream of the best, imagine for the surroundings...” Life is a game looking for meanings, complicated and multifaceted. Joy in an amusement park, greediness from power, silence beyond the moon-chasing, contradiction between mindfulness and negligence. Through the exhibition, I try to define, share and convey meanings with the contrast of lines, calling for reflections of the bright and dark sides. Whatever hidden in the works are for the audience to interpret.

Rick Lo is an artist, a designer and a lecturer. In recent years, he founded Rickubic, integrating digital artworks with augmented reality (AR) to visualise stories. His works have been invited for collaboration by public and private sector organisations such as The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority, Hang Seng Bank, Greenpeace, Ginger Store, The Common Ground, Reel to Reel Institute etc. He provides design programmes, illustration workshops for corporations and universities including Middlesex University London, HKUSPACE, PolyU and HKDI.

His printed works, some with limited editions, are mainly sold to Europe and the U.S. through online platforms, including some with NFTs. Some selected artworks were published in magazines such as Tatler Hong Kong and Marie Claire. Besides, he was invited to an interview for a specific programme on Metro Radio. In addition, Rick Lo is among the “8 Talented and Inspiring Hong Kong Illustrators You Need To Know”, featured in a magazine named Localiiz.
