My name is Yamit and I live in Tel Aviv-Jaffa.
I was born and grew up in Eilat city - a small sunny town with the spectacular Red Sea.
It's also a desert city with landscapes, textures and very cold there in winter.
this is the southernmost city of Israel,
a place full of contrasts that are what sets the place apart.
At the age of 21 I moved to Tel Aviv and studied fashion design.
During my studies, I created many projects that combine handicrafts, embroidery, hand painting and ethnic connection with an innovative integration.
My ethnic origin from different and contrast cultures (Ethiopian, Iraqi and Czech)
has greatly contributed to the fact that I both relate to the traditional and ethnic and both to the contemporary and inovative world.
After 4 years of study, I graduated and set up a brand of women's clothing.
During this time, I gave a lecture on digital printing on clothes and participated with my designs in fairs and exhibitions.
Along the way, I felt the need to focus on textiles, my biggest love, and give them the central place in my work.
I am inspired from everything and mostly influenced by my childish landscape, my origin, nature’s spectacular, emotions and spirituality.
Accordingly contrasts, unconventional connections, textures, colors and abstract style compositions are an integral part of my work.
A style that in my eyes represents freedom of deep thinking, development and unique statement.
I use natural materials and believe in free love between everything that exists in the universe.
