I wanted a good quality knife that had a look of age and could have come from nearly any time period.....this knife was perfect. It's amazingly sharp, sharper in fact than even my Japanese knives but with the strength that gives confidence that it will cut through anything without damaging the knife. Fantastic job on the refurbishing! If I only had one criticism I wish that the handle was about twice as wide as it is.
