Kelpie Opal is an effect top coat with color shifting shimmer and iridescent flakes, meant for layering over other polishes. It is part of the Mythological Opal collection. Kelpie Opal contains teal to violet shifting aurora flakes (large flake versions of the aurora pigments) and the same teal to violet shifting UP sibling pigment used in all of Starlight and Sparkles' Kelpie polishes, which shifts from teal to violet, and flashes aqua and purple at the extremes of its color range.
Kelpie and Unicorn share similar spectrums of color shift, but Kelpie is bluer than Unicorn and its shift goes further into purple than Unicorn's does.

This polish contains a "unicorn pee sibling" pigment, which are pigments of the same sort as "unicorn pee" but with different color shifts.
