The name Frau came about when Megz switched her graffiti tag from 'M2K' to 'frau'. Since then, it has been the signature on her artwork and all custom projects.

She has created art, jewelry and accessories since she was a child in the Chicago burbs, selling items to friends and classmates. There was also a lot of time spent in the garage with her dad and grandpa. That’s where the automotive passion began.

Megz then went on to creating paintings and sculptures, being awarded the Scholastic Art Show Silver Key for a Batik in 1999. After studying at Columbia College Chicago and The Illinois Institute of Art, she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BFA in Interior and Graphic Design from The Art Institute of Washington. She spent years in the D.C. Metro area, but is now back in Sweet Home Chicago.

She spends her time designing, at concerts, hanging out with her MinPin, doing car stuff, and cheffing for friends.
