Born and Raised in Massachusetts, I spent weekends and summers with my Grandmother. She was the perfect person to teach me all things Home Ec.
From the age of 7 until I was about 20, I sewed everything. I wanted something, we'd find a pattern, we'd make a pattern, with manipulate the pattern. I loved making a lot of the stuff I wore. It just wasn't a challenge anymore.
I remembered my Grandmother taught me how to Knit, I was super fast on straight needles, I made adorable Hats and some other little plush toys.
In 2011 I broke a bone right hand, this made it hurt really bad when I knitted, so I switched it up to become a crocheter. After asking my grandmother how to hook, she sort of gave up because I hated patterns, I was making my own unique and interesting things within months of learning the basics.
The reason I do what I do:
I've had cancer on and off for 8 years, people kept telling me I need to focus all my negative energy on something. I focused on a craft that made people smile. I have made hundreds of blankets, but I gave them away to friends and family, and every time I made something; A hat, scarf, blanket or toy, I was told, "You should sell these, they're amazing."
So Here I am, selling items that I make, with love and with joy. I find that when I know the person receiving the items they are just a little different than what I post on here. I make the items here for every one, the items I make for people I know, are a bit more ridiculous, colorful and a little bit crazier.
