Saving the Planet, One Art Piece at a Time
We are big kids at heart! Remember when you played with colored wood blocks? Our family (Amy, Richard, Rick, Barbara and Ken… and our dogs: Frankie, Tilly and Kooki) still plays with them and assemble them into engaging wall art pieces.
We are ecologically conscience, using only recycled materials such as old furniture parts, salvaged architectural elements, wine crates, Old Florida fence woods and more (too numerous to name). The raw materials are gathered, cleaned, planed, cut and sanded (a lot of sanding!) and oiled or painted to become the elements literally the ‘building blocks’ of our designs.
The concepts of our designs, with a primary focus of joy to include everyone, are instigated by any one of our family members and further imagined by the family group. Ideas grow and morph into the final design. Now, its time to get to the physical work – whirling of the saws, wood chips everywhere, buzzing of the sanders, sawdust all over, start painting and assembling the new creation.
Our signature pieces are Peace, Thumbs Up, Love and Hearts. These engaging art assemblages are visual extravaganzas of colors, widths, depths and textures, creating art pieces for your office, your home, or anywhere, evoking smiles and joy. With online sales, our favorite review from customers is that the item “looks even better in person”. At juried art shows, our favorite refrain from repeat customers is “we love what we purchased last year and came to see what is new”. We love our time on Etsy as it gives us a nationwide audience.
