My grandmother was a seamstress, and I was the only girl in the family. I grew up showered with adorable little dresses, complete with matching cloaks and lace slips with bows and tiny bells. If you consult a family album, I lived in a perpetual state of petticoats, white tights, and black mary janes. I told anyone who'd listen that I wanted to be a fashion designer and drew nothing but ball gowns for the first dozen years of my life. In my middle school years, however, my mom pointed out that I don't really like to sew.

Hmm. Good point, Mom.

At that, I jumped ship and focused on the design aspect rather than the fashion. I'm now very happy as a graphic designer, but I still love to play dress-up. I use this collection to surround myself in all those pretty things I've always loved.
