Making happy paper goodies!
Our story begins 12 years ago, when we, Amit and Misha, founded our first company, Sky Design (www.skydesign.in) and worked on very serious and large client and corporate projects for 7 years. While the service business was successful, we yearned to do something that created value for people and was fun for us, too. In 2013, we experimented with paper and made some DIY toys and calendars. We published these on our Etsy shop in September 2013. We got a fabulous response to our work from customers across the world, and were thrilled when our work was featured on the Etsy Blog, Disney’s www.babble.com and www.thisiscolossal.com; all the sales and recognition nudged us further into the world of PaperCraft.
Over the next few years, Sky Goodies grew loads, and we shut our other ventures down (That was really scary!) to focus on our Sky Goodies products full-time. We're grateful for flattering features from prestigious magazines like Vogue, Elle Decor, Brand, and Lonely Planet; and from lovely blogs like MessyNessyChic.com, Buzzfeed.com, Papercrave.com; and from Etsy itself, for featuring us multiple times. We have executed many large and small custom projects for brands, including design and manufacturing; we had a lot of fun making Barbie DIY Kits for Mattel Inc, and DIY kits for brands we admire, like National Geographic.
We have a small shop in a quaint village in the huge metropolis that is Mumbai, in India. (Please do visit us if you are around!) We are a team of 10, with different interests and expertise. Creating products for Sky Goodies is an explorative process. An idea can be triggered by an image, a view, a conversation, or a discussion. We put together our ideas, and shortlist ones which would fit into our collection, qualify as ‘goodies’ and make people happy. Then we start executing ideas. Sometimes it can be a quick process to turn an idea into a finished product. For some products, we explore many alternatives till we arrive at the best solution. We take particular care to perfect the templates to find the balance between good form and ease of use. We also make sure that our products either have uses or are interactive.
The biggest inspiration for us is India, the country we live in, which is full of wonderful chaos, color, traditional and pop art forms. Some of our products are decorated in the style of Indian Pop Art and Street Art. We had been documenting the vanishing art of hand-painted trucks in India for the past many years, just for ourselves. A lot of the colors, textures and patterns in our work, are inspired by this art form.
Our aim is to encourage people to use their hands and find joy in small things.
Make it, use it, gift it, or own it; a Sky Goodies product should make you happy. We also aim to reduce the use of plastic to zero across our products, and make eco-friendly and 100% biodegradable products.

Misha is a Graphic Designer and Entrepreneur, with a love for color, paper and math. She ideates, paints, draws and designs the form and graphics for the paper products. She needs music to work, and loves what she does!

Trained as a Product Designer, Amit formulates the vision, aims, marketing strategies and tactics for the company. His experience is varied, from industrial processes to the business world. He works hands-on with paper to create DIY templates.

Professionally qualified as a programmer in php, html, java, etc., Jeetu has also studied further after office hours, to get an MBA. He has helped set up the processes and systems for storing, logistics, orders, online presence, and payments.

Prashant is a Senior Graphic Designer experienced in Print Production. Prashant plans and helps execute and supervise the production process. He is present for every single production process and checks the quality of the products at every stage.

Avinash manages daily orders, deliveries and communication with customers and retailers, and ensures quality checks for all products. He is very creative and has a talent for sourcing. In his free time, he also enjoys photography and video-editing.

Shruti is a trained textile designer, now building a career in Photography. She shoots and edits videos, animations, assembly instructions and photographs of products. Though born with the challenge of profound hearing loss, she excels at her work.

Returns and exchange details
For physical products, in the unlikely event of the product arriving in a defective condition, either a replacement or refund will be processed. Any issues with the product may be communicated within 5 working days of receiving the product.

Payment by eCheck will delay your order by 3-5 business days (Monday - Friday except holidays).
Delivery
For the USA, usually orders are delivered within 4-8 business days. For remote locations, it may take longer; upto 20 business days.

Yes, we supply our physical products, at great wholesale rates to shops and sellers across the world. We ship wholesale orders for free to many countries, along with a few complimentary samples for display. Please write in to skygoodiesmail@gmail.com for a full wholesale catalog.
