I created this illustrations for people who are enthusiastic about coloring, and for this year’s holiday season. This rabbit is poking its head through a traditional, natural wreath filled with a variety of fruits and pine cones.
Upon purchase, check your email for a confirmation from Etsy. You’ll be able to instantly download this individual coloring page as watermark-free, 8.5x11 (letter-sized) PDF, and then print on the paper of your choice with your home printer. Because this is vector art, it can be enlarged if your printer is able to handle larger sheets of paper. Your files will always be accessible from your receipt in the "purchases" section of your account. Be sure to go to page 2 for the added bonus grey-line version of this original b&w illustration (if you would like less emphasis on the lines and more on your coloring).
** You will receive 1 PDF file consisting of 2 pages. The grey-line version of each design follows the black line design, so be sure to check your printer settings to print the pages you like and save ink.
These coloring page illustrations were sketched in pencil and then pulled into the ProCreate app on my iPad Pro. I used an Apple pencil to add more details, move the elements around until I got them just right, and then created final clean line designs for both print and digital reproduction. Each one of my illustrations take anywhere from 8 to 12 hours to complete … sometimes even longer, and every one is a labor of love.
That said, I have to mention some IMPORTANT LEGALESE ….. This coloring page is for your personal enjoyment. Selling any and all items using this image is prohibited. You are not permitted to send the files to other people or sell/trade/give them away. PRINTING & COLORING TIPS:
You can use an inkjet printer (that’s what I have) or a laser printer (which is ideal if you'll be using paint or markers). When you open the PDF, select the highest quality print your printer allows. In your print settings, you might also to able to expand the image to fill more of the page (depending on your printer’s capabilities). Because I create vector files, you should be able to increase/decrease the size of each image with no loss of line quality. The same goes for the added bonus grey-line versions.
I use watercolor pencils to lay down my base colors and have yet to have problems smudging the ink from my Epson inkjet … but you may want to experiment. I also print my images on card stock (though plain paper is fine, too) as I like the thickness and it is less likely to warp or bleed through. Once my water-colored areas are dry (it doesn’t usually take too long) I go back over those colors with a variety of colored pencils in light layers to add detail and depth. You can print several copies of this illustration (white paper is great, but colored paper is a lot of fun, too) and experiment with different papers, color palettes and techniques.
I test each one of my designs before I let them go out into the world. You can see my coloring process and samples on my Instagram account (@RubyCharmColors) and on my Wordpress site (www.rubycharmcolors.com). I’ll be posting tips and stories as time goes on, so give me a follow!
