To clean your jewelry, simply wash it in warm water with a drop of mild soap and a soft, cotton cloth. Dry thoroughly.

Gold filled jewelry is regarded the closest thing to solid gold, but is much more affordable. It is made up of a thick layer of solid karat gold permanently bonded by heat and pressure to a base metal such as brass. My items are hallmarked 1/20:14K which means that 1/20 of the metal weight of the item consists of 14K gold. The gold layer is very durable and does not rub off or chip like plated items or vermeil (gold plated over silver) and should last a lifetime with the proper care. All my gold filled components are free from harmful lead and nickel.

Sterling silver is made up of 92.5% fine silver and up to 7.5% other metals, such as copper. Pure silver is quite soft, so adding other metals makes it harder wearing. My items are hallmarked 925 which corresponds to the 92.5% silver purity. All my sterling silver components are free from harmful lead and nickel.
