Having done various forms of visual arts and crafts since I was a toddler, it is not surprising that I am now doing Artistic Designs in Fiber - both Home Decor and Items To Wear!!

I occasionally make items to sell, which I then list with a percentage of the sale going to a certain organization.

For environmental donations, all such proceeds will be donated to The Nature Conservancy, http://nature.org - for their various programs, including their "Plant A Billion Trees in the Brazilian Atlantic Forest".

All donations for medical programs will be donated to Research programs at UCLA, http://www.ucla.edu/research.html -- all donations for Cancer Research will be made to the UCLA Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, http://www.cancer.ucla.edu/index.aspx?page=1. I have a lot of reasons to have trust and hope in what they are doing, including Research on Cancer Prevention and Early Detection, http://www.cancer.ucla.edu/Index.aspx?page=122.

Though my donations are small -- if we all pool our donations of whatever size, we can all make a difference.

The Home Decor I make is done in different colors popular in decorating themes. Search my shop by color: Blue, Purples, Lavender, Pinks, Reds, Fall Colors (Oranges, Yellows, Golds), Classic White or the more Primitve beiges - and then certain color combinations such as AMERICANA or FRENCH COUNTRY Blue and White.

I have always liked doing things in color - with contrasts and graphic designs or actual images.

I do many different special designs and techniques with crochet in both thread and yarn:

Irish, Celtic Woven, Pineapples, Bruges, Tapestry, Filet Crochet, Cluny Crocheted Lace, Tunisian or Afghan Crochet -- and I do all kinds of flowers both in 3-dimensional and flat.

I have learned to do Images in Fiber - with techniques of Filet Crochet and Tapestry. Tapestry can be done in either crochet or knitting.

In knitting I am learning new things all the time, but I do a variety of stitches: Gansey, Rib, Cable, Texture - and of course Knit and Purl. I have also done Tapestry in Knitting.

DESIGNS INSPIRED BY NATURE
One of the things I do is combine my love of Nature and the Outdoors with my Arts and Crafts. For years I did outdoor landscape and environmental photography. Now, many of my Designs In Fiber and Wearables actually have Things or Plants or Animals in them that are Inspired by my love of Nature - or have Colors and/or Color combinations Inspired by Nature!

I do what I can to support the protection and restoration of Nature - I sometimes do listings on Etsy with portions of the money going to environmental groups such as The Nature Conservancy and Conservation International.

I DO CUSTOM ORDERS - I WILL TAKE PRIVATE REQUESTS THROUGH ETSY CONVERSATIONS (CONVOS) AND I DO THEM IN THE ORDER RECEIVED.

It all takes time to make - anyone can ask me all kinds of questions about designs or colors or threads or yarns. I can send pictures of yarns/threads/completed items.

I also will make Personalized items both in Thread and Yarn by Special Request only.
