I started sewing years ago. I can remember wanting a particular outfit or item. My brilliant mother pulled out the sewing machine, made a trip to the fabric store to find both a pattern and the best fabric available in a small fabric store that best fit the item. There I was, standing at the dining room table, cutting out the pattern, and then sewing. Our sewing machine was next to a window in my parents bedroom. A great place to zone out and focus on the task at hand. When I had my little girl, I decided to begin again. Over the years I have sat at a number of sewing machines in various places in my home, making costumes, frilly girl dresses. In addition, making custom window treatments for friends, and now friends of friends. Now with my very own workroom located inside my home, I love both the hunt of finding just the right fabrics and the love of creating a special piece. Thanks for allowing me to share.
