The Details That Define Us
Ho sempre creduto che l'accessorio giusto non sia solo un "elemento aggiuntivo", ma il fulcro di un intero look. Molto prima di fondare Anam-Q e creare il mio sito: www.anam-q.com, ero la persona che costruiva un intero outfit partendo da una singola sciarpa o da un gioiello specifico. Per me, gli accessori sono il modo più immediato per trasformare un outfit banale in qualcosa di significativo.
Per anni, la mia vita quotidiana si è svolta nel frenetico settore tecnologico. Era una carriera basata sulla logica e sui sistemi, ma la mia vera energia creativa era sempre altrove. Mi ritrovavo costantemente alla ricerca di pezzi che avessero un certo peso, accessori che avessero la giusta "presenza" per rispecchiare l'ambizione delle donne che li indossavano.
Il salto nell'archivio
Abbandonare la sicurezza di un lavoro in azienda è stato un "contratto d'identità" vulnerabile e terrificante che ho dovuto firmare con me stessa. È stato il momento in cui ho deciso di smettere di cercare il pezzo perfetto e di alta qualità e di iniziare a crearlo. Volevo costruire un marchio di accessori che non scendesse a compromessi.
Ecco perché ho scelto il raso di seta da 20 momme per le mie sciarpe di seta, con cui ho lanciato Anam-Q. La maggior parte della seta in commercio è leggera e fragile; quella da 20 momme è diversa. Ha una consistenza lucente e un drappeggio strutturato che rimane esattamente nella posizione desiderata. Dagli orli sottilissimi al modo in cui il tessuto cattura la luce, ogni dettaglio riflette la Quintessenza (la "Q" del nostro nome) a cui aspiro nel mio lavoro. L'anima del design
Vivo a Dublino e traggo profonda ispirazione dal mio patrimonio culturale irlandese. Che si tratti della geometria protettiva di un nodo Dara o della lealtà di un Claddagh, questi motivi non sono per me semplici disegni, ma simboli dell'identità incrollabile che proiettiamo nel mondo.

For years, my daily life was centered in the fast-paced technology sector. It was a career built on logic and systems, but my true creative energy was always elsewhere. I found myself constantly searching for pieces that felt substantial—accessories that had enough "gravity" to match the ambition of the women wearing them.
The Leap into the Archive
Leaving the security of a corporate job was a vulnerable, terrifying "Identity Contract" I had to sign with myself. It was the moment I decided to stop searching for that perfect, high-quality piece and start creating it. I wanted to build an accessories brand that didn't cut corners.
That’s why I chose 20-momme silk satin for my silk scarves to launch Anam-Q. Most silk you find is light and fleeting; 20-momme is different. It has a lustrous weight and a structural drape that stays exactly where you style it. From the fine baby hems to the way the fabric catches the light, every detail is a reflection of the Quintessence (the 'Q' in our name) that I strive for in my own work. The Soul of the Design
