Embroidery is the whisper of centuries-old women in the heart of a modern woman ...

Annangela Lovallo was born in Avigliano (Italy), a characteristic country where craftsmanship is culture, tradition, fortuitous receptacle of ancient arts perpetrated by skilled modern hands.
Her laboratory, located in the historic center, is a significant link between the past and the temporal dimension without frontiers of the Embroiderer, skilled in giving functionality, subjects and clothes that embrace the canvas, threads and laces of the past taste of modern spirits.
The first significant flight to Annangela, outside the local context, was an article in the newspaper Roma, published in June 1993, on the cultural page dedicated to Basilicata.
In 1998, the Aviglianese embroiderer participated in Florence in the 62nd International Handicraft Exhibition with a cleverly embroidered tablecloth, a precious background for the typical table service of brigands.
In the same year his artifacts stand out in the First Southern Exhibition of projects and objects "Design and Territory Exhibition" City of Grottaglie.
In the autumn of 1999 he was present at the First International Biennial of Applied Arts in Matera, "Mater Materia" Exhibition.
In 2001 he took part in the First National Embroidery Biennial in Rome with the work "FREE MOSAIC".
In 2003, during the Rai transmission "Geo & Geo" the "Brooches" are shown, pricey miniatures embroidered with silk threads with which he also takes part in 2007 in the exhibition "Mani di Donna", organized by the Province of Potenza.
In 2006 he was present at the "First Edition of the Day of Autonomous Work for Artistic Crafts", held at the Provincial Museum of Potenza, with an embroidery made with copper wires that reproduces the greeting alphabet designed in 1986 by the artist Pat Russel .
in 2009 he participated in the "Cecilia" exhibition held in the Civic Museum of Melfi (Palazzo Donadoni) with the work "Dance in The Water" creating an embroidery on three digital prints produced by the artist Marcello Samela. In 2011 the Chamber of Commerce, Industry , Crafts and Agriculture of Potenza gives it the "Loyalty to Work and Economic Progress Award".
He has won prizes and won awards by participating in national competitions.
Also in 2011, the Regional Equal Opportunities Commission of the Basilicata Regional Council awarded it the "Ester Scardaccione International Award".
In 2012 he exhibited at the Manteca Company headquarters in Potenza as part of the first edition. "ManiFESTA-first review of artisan pride".
Also in 2012, he exhibited in Sasso di Castalda - PZ as part of the "Fairy Attractions" event organized by the Reg. Basilicata as part of the Val D’Agri Melandro Sauro Camastra and APT Basilicata operational program.
In 2013 he won the Fourth Prize at the twelfth Ed. Of the Artistic Works Competition by the Cam. Comm. Of Power.
In 2015 the specialized magazine "Rakam" dedicated an insert to her entitled "Lilliputian embroidery".
In 2016 he was present with a work with needle painting in the permanent exhibition of the Applied Arts Museum "Lucia Mangiafico" in Solarino (SR).
Also in 2016, it inaugurates a real museum of traditional clothes where art, wisdom, logic and love for beauty find their natural place.
In May 2017, he took part in the "Ai Confini della Meraviglia" event at the Diocletian baths in Rome on the occasion of the year of the villages, exhibiting some of his works on the day dedicated to Basilicata.
In November 2017 she was chosen by the director Alessandra Poli creator of the "Passion Italy" program, produced for the American PBC to represent the excellence of Italian artistic craftsmanship.
In 2018 he took part in "GEO" on rai tre in a documentary "at Federico's court", exhibited in Matera for "Fucina Madre", for "Segni e Sassi" and for "A cena Con".

His works have been published in specialized magazines, he has won prizes and has won awards in national competitions, but his greatest merit remains that of having removed oblivion from an art useful to communicate, to tell, to fix in the finished space of a canvas an infinity of emotions.
