Siempre me ha gustado incursionar en el diseño gráfico y me resulta muy satisfactorio leer los detalles de un mapa, seguir sus rutas y planificar una gran aventura. Así que combiné ambas cosas, me animé y decidí publicar algunos de mis diseños.
El diseño gráfico es algo que aprendí con mi trabajo en la industria musical, diseñando contenido de marketing atractivo, carteles, guías y folletos para conciertos y eventos. El Backyard Map Project combina mi amor por la vida al aire libre con mis habilidades de diseño adquiridas, y en el camino despertó algunos impulsos creativos para diseñar impresiones limpias con paletas de colores llamativos.
¿Y por qué "el Proyecto del Mapa del Patio Trasero"? Yo hago mi propia cerveza y he llamado a mi pequeña microcervecería "Backyard Ales", rindiendo homenaje al pequeño muro de Brighouse que solía usar para instalar mi equipo de elaboración de cerveza.
I’ve always enjoyed dabbling in graphic design, and I find something super satisfying about reading the details of a map, following its paths, and planning a big adventure. So I’ve combined the two, bitten the bullet and decided to publish some of my designs.
Graphic design is something that I picked up with my work in the music industry designing engaging marketing content, posters, guides and flyers for concerts and events. The Backyard Map Project combines my love of the outdoors, with my learnt design skills, scratching some creative urges along the way to design clean prints with bold colour pallets.
And why "the Backyard Map Project"... I make my own beer, and have named my tiny microbrewery "Backyard Ales", paying homage to the tiny wall in Brighouse that I used to set my brewing kit up on to make beer.
