As an artist and a mom, I've always been drawn to the vibrant hues of the world around me. But when I became a mother, my perspective on colors shifted. I found myself questioning the safety of conventional petroleum-based crayons and paints, filled with toxic pigments that could harm my daughter.

Driven by this concern, I embarked on a journey to explore the world of natural dyes, transforming my kitchen into a haven of experimentation. My goal was simple: to create clean, non-toxic alternatives that would allow both my daughter and me to enjoy the joy of colors without compromising our health or the environment.

Over the past six years, my kitchen adventures have evolved into Berlin Color Lab, a passion project where I explore the boundless possibilities of botanical pigments. I've delved into the fascinating world of color making, learning about the traditional techniques used to extract natural dyes from plants, flowers, and even kitchen scraps.

My journey hasn't been without its challenges. The art of creating natural colors requires patience, precision, and a deep understanding of the properties of different plants and pigments.
