I am a speech and language therapist. I qualified in 2021 and I still see clients every week, mostly around bilingualism, phonology and literacy, working across the UK, the US and the Middle East.
Everything in this shop started as something I needed in my own clinical work and could not find. I drew the first IPA chart for myself. The Arabic and bilingual materials came next, because I was rebuilding the same resources from scratch for every bilingual client and it seemed worth doing properly once.
So the charts, the boardgames and the word banks here are the working versions. They have been used in real sessions and rewritten when they did not do the job. The mugs and posters carry the same charts, for people who would rather have them on a desk than in a folder.
If you are a therapist, a teacher, a teaching assistant or a parent trying to get your head around speech sounds, I hope something here saves you the hours it took me to make it.
