COMENZÓ CON UNA ONDA CEREBRAL
Nuestra historia comenzó en 1997, cuando la fundadora Kerri Binnie (la B de Busy B) viajaba por Australia en una vieja furgoneta VW. Como diseñadora de productos con formación, siempre estaba buscando problemas complicados que resolver. Recordando todo el desorden festivo que inevitablemente se produce en Navidad, improvisó con algunos paquetes de cereales para crear los primeros prototipos de un portatarjetas de Navidad bastante ingenioso. Al año siguiente, el MoMA de Nueva York encargó 10.000 de ellos y, de repente, ¡estaba en el negocio!
LAS IDEAS SON TODO
Ahora Kerri buscaba nuevas ideas para productos ingeniosos que ayudaran a las mujeres a organizarse de forma elegante, para que pudieran tener más tiempo libre y dedicarse a ser ellas mismas. Sus amigas multitarea eran una fuente constante de inspiración, y convertirse en madre de tres hijos le trajo un montón de ideas nuevas. Realmente había encontrado su nicho: resolver los desafíos cotidianos de las mujeres ocupadas. A esto le siguieron muchos productos inteligentes y muchos premios de diseño.
Construyendo un negocio
Al principio, solo trabajaban Kerri y su "mano derecha", Rosy, en una pequeña habitación de invitados. A medida que el negocio florecía, se mudaron a un espacio de trabajo más grande en Edimburgo, que todavía es el hogar de nuestro increíble equipo, que se dedica a ayudar a las personas a aprovechar al máximo su valioso tiempo. Además de nuestro sitio web, estamos orgullosos de ver nuestros productos galardonados en las estanterías de muchas tiendas excelentes, incluidas algunas de las tiendas minoristas más importantes del Reino Unido.

IT BEGAN WITH A BRAINWAVE
Our story started back in 1997, when founder Kerri Binnie (the B in Busy B) was travelling around Australia in an old VW camper van. As a trained product designer, she was always searching for tricky problems to solve. Remembering all the festive clutter that inevitably comes along at Christmas, she improvised with some cereal packets to create early prototypes of a rather nifty Christmas card holder. The following year, New York's MoMA ordered 10,000 of them – and suddenly she was in business!
IDEAS ARE EVERYTHING
Now Kerri was searching for new ideas for ingenious products that would help women get beautifully organised, so they could free up their time and get busy being themselves. Her multi-tasking friends were a constant source of inspiration, and becoming a mum-of-three brought loads of fresh insights for Kerri. She had really found her niche: solving everyday challenges for busy women. Plenty of smart products followed, and lots of design awards, too.
Building A Business
In the early days, it was just Kerri and her ‘right hand woman’ Rosy, working from a tiny spare bedroom. As the business flourished, they moved into a bigger workspace in Edinburgh, which is still home to our amazing team who are dedicated to helping people make the most of their precious time. As well as our website, we're proud to see our award-winning products on the shelves of many brilliant shops, including some of the UK’s most high profile retailers.
