Growing Up Doing Life On The Water
La nostra famiglia è cresciuta vivendo sull'acqua. Giornate nella casa sul lago, gite in kayak lungo lo Spoon River, battute di pesca sul Mississippi e vacanze in famiglia sul lago Michigan.
Current source è nato da un'idea di mio padre. Aveva chiesto a un amico di realizzare una maglietta che raffigurasse i fiumi dell'Illinois. Rappresentava qualcosa che ci faceva sentire a casa, sapevamo che quella piccola linea era la parte del fiume accanto a noi e sapevamo dove si trovava il nostro lago. Abbiamo preso questa idea di mappare i fiumi e l'abbiamo applicata a tutti i 50 stati degli Stati Uniti. Ogni disegno è stato disegnato a mano e ogni linea è stata creata intenzionalmente.
Questo è stato un progetto appassionante per molto tempo, ma è rimasto inattivo dal 2020 al 2024. Solo di recente mi è stato chiesto dove avessi preso la mia maglietta quando indossavo una vecchia maglietta campione.

Our family grew up doing life on the water. Days at the lakehouse, kayak trips down the Spoon River, fishing trips on the Missippii, and family vacations on Lake Michigan.
Current source was born out of an idea my dad had. He had asked a friend to make a shirt that outlined the rivers in Illinois. It represented something that was home to us, we knew what little line was the part of the river next to us, and we knew where our lake was. We took this idea of mapping rivers and applied it to all 50 US states. Each design has been hand-drawn, and every line was created intentionally.
This has been a passion project for a very long time but it remained dormant from 2020-2024. It's not been until recently that I was asked where I got my shirt when I was wearing an old sample shirt.
