Upcycler. Sewist. Songsmith. DIY Punk.
Welcome to my world. I'm a mother, writer, lover, musician in the band Cursed Arrows, and I live to design and make things by hand. Nature is my home, music is my comfort zone, and my belief that art is medicine is my biggest inspiration.
This is a one-woman operation. My apparel is completely unique, one of a kind, and made primarily from upcycled vegan materials sourced in Canada! I use plant- and synthetic-based materials that I already own or find, but you will find some stainless steel metal adornments and recycled polyester thread, which I make a great effort to source ethically. I also occasionally offer items from my own personal collection of vintage clothing for resale, at relatively affordable prices that afford my family a bit of grocery money.
I strive to work in solidarity with the millions of women worldwide whose nimble hands create almost everything we in the West buy new. These women and young people work countless hours for next to no money, and attempting to learn what they do in factories every day is humbling. Hence my focus on reusing and upcycling the textiles they labour so hard over, and building awareness around the issue of waste, and the ethics of labour in the textile industry.
Please, engage - I'd love to meet you - share, and enjoy!
My family appreciates your support.
