D.Webb Designs is een door vrouwen gerund, ethisch verantwoord alternatief lifestyle kledingmerk dat exclusief lokaal in New York wordt ingekocht, ontworpen en geproduceerd. Al onze ontwerpen zijn gericht op body positivity voor IEDEREEN. We produceren in kleine oplages en noemen onszelf met trots een Slow Fashion merk. Onze stijlen zijn verkrijgbaar in een breed scala aan maten, die er in alle maten goed uitzien. De D.Webb-stijlen worden ontworpen door de oprichtster, Debbie D Carstos, een tweede generatie ontwerper en patroonmaakster van beroep.

Debbie is een bekroonde tweede generatie ontwerpster en patroonmaakster. Ze studeerde kledingontwerp en patroontekenen aan het Veloudakis Private Institute of Design in Griekenland. Na haar afstuderen verhuisde ze naar New York, waar ze haar modestudie voortzette met een specialisatie in merchandising en het ontwerpen van intieme kleding aan het Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. Bij FIT ontving ze de Jean Yu Critic Design Award en de Intimate Apparel Council Merit Award.
Debbie heeft 9 jaar in de lingeriebranche gewerkt als ontwerpster. Naast haar liefde voor mode en design is ze ook een fervent dansliefhebber. Haar persoonlijke verkenning van de danswereld bracht haar tot de ontdekking dat er een manier was om haar twee passies te combineren: D.Webb Designs - een goed gemaakt, veelzijdig lifestylekledingmerk dat niet alleen goed zit, maar er ook fantastisch uitziet op en naast de dansvloer.
Debbie houdt zich bezig met productontwikkeling, verkoop, patroontekenen, styling en vele andere dingen. Ondanks de uitdagingen van het zelfstandig ondernemerschap kijkt ze ernaar uit om haar dag te beginnen in haar ontwerpstudio. Als ze niet in de D.Webb-modus zit, is ze aan het dansen of brengt ze tijd door met haar levenspartner Len.
Donna Manalo (zij/haar): Grafisch ontwerper / “Godmother of Goods” / Ambassadeurscontactpersoon / UX-consultant
Danseres en ontwerpster Donna Manalo is van nature een verhalenverteller: ze probeert de magie die om ons heen verborgen ligt te onthullen. Hoewel Donna en Debbie elkaar voor het eerst ontmoetten op de dansvloer, ontstond hun band in het hart van de Garment District. Tijdens D. Webbs beginjaren werkte Donna als modeontwerpster en ontwierp ze kinderkleding en badkleding onder licentie. De twee kwamen vaak samen voor een kop koffie, beklagenswaardigheden over de machinaties van de mode-industrie en droomden van betere tijden.
Donna gelooft dat elk item dat D.Webb presenteert bijzonder is: het zijn hoogwaardige, goed gemaakte kledingstukken, ontworpen door een echt bekwame kunstenaar. Elk stuk heeft zijn eigen verhaal. Misschien staat er wel eentje tussen die jou kan helpen het jouwe te vertellen?

All of our designs are dedicated to body positivity for ALL. We produce in small quantities and proudly call ourselves a Slow Fashion brand. Our styles come in a wide range of sizes, that actually look good in all sizes. D.Webb styles are designed by the founder, Debbie D Carstos, a second generation designer and pattern-maker by trade.

Debbie D. Cartsos she/her: Founder, CEO & Designer
Debbie is an award winning, second generation designer and pattern maker. She studied apparel design and pattern making at Veloudakis Private Institute of Design in Greece. After graduating she moved to New York where she continued her studies in fashion specializing in merchandising and intimate apparel design at NYC’s Fashion Institute of Technology. At FIT she received the Jean Yu Critic Design Award and the Intimate Apparel Council Merit Award.
Debbie spent 9 years designing in the intimate apparel field. Along with her love of fashion and design, she is also an avid lover of dance. Her personal exploration into dance helped her discover that there was a way to merge her two passions into one: D.Webb Designs - a well made, versatile lifestyle apparel brand that not only feels good but also looks really cool on and off the dance floor.
Debbie handles product development, sales, pattern making, styling and many other things. Despite the challenges of being a small business owner she looks forward to starting her day in her design studio and when she is not in D.Webb Mode she is either dancing or spending time with her partner in life Len..
Donna Manalo (she/her): Graphic Designer / “Godmother of Goods” / Ambassador Liaison / UX Consultant
Dancer and Designer Donna Manalo is a storyteller by nature: she seeks to uncover the magic hidden around us. Although Donna and Debbie first met on the dance floor, their bond was forged in the heart of the Garment District. During D.Webb’s early days, Donna worked as a fashion designer, creating licensed children’s apparel and swimwear. The two would shimmy over for a coffee, lament the machinations of the fashion industry, and dream of better days.
Donna believes that every item that D.Webb presents is special: these are high quality, well-made garments designed by a truly skilled artist. Each piece has its own story to tell. Perhaps there is one here that can help you tell yours?
